Krakow → Zakopane → Auschwitz
— from Krakow’s Old Town charm to the stunning trails of Zakopane and the peaceful beauty of Morskie Oko. History, nature, and heart all in one trip

We flew into Krakow late Wednesday night and drove an hour and a half to Zakopane — Poland’s cozy mountain town. Please be prepared to pay for a Toll.
Day 1: Early Morning Drive / Trail View
At 5:30 AM, we hit the road from Zakopane to Morskie Oko Lake — one of the most beautiful hikes in Poland.
Park at Parking TPN — Palenica Białczańska. Book early — it fills up fast!
We paid about $23 total for parking and entry for 3 people, booked a month ahead at tpn.gov.pl.
The view was absolutely worth the early start!
Day 2 - Next Day / Thermal Spa
From Zakopane, we drove to Chochołowskie Termy, and wow... this was my favorite thermal spa in Europe!
Chochołów 400, 34-513 Witów, Poland
We paid about $110.32 total for entrance for 3 people for 4 hrs. (~$35.77 per person)
Great music, beautiful views, and staff that get everyone dancing — so much fun! Definitely book early.
After relaxing at the spa, we drove about an hour and a half back to Krakow to explore the charming Old Town.
Day 3 - Morning Drive / Museum Entrance
06:30am we left Krakow to drive 1 hour and 15 minutes to Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum.
We paid ~$34.83 per person. Book your tickets early at visit.auschwitz.org — I booked a month in advance for the 8:15 AM tour.
[Reflective Footage / Museum & Memorial]
It was a powerful, emotional experience — a reminder to be grateful for life and never forget history.
[Krakow Old Town / Wrap-Up]
After the tour, we had time to enjoy Old Town Krakow before our early flight the next day.
Poland — a perfect mix of nature, history, and heart. Highly recommend this 4-day itinerary!
